Residential Time-Of-Use Rates

Our mission.....

at Navopache Electric Cooperative is to deliver electricity to our members at the most efficient cost. To achieve this goal the cooperative has developed a way to encourage the best use of electrical energy with special Time-of-Use rates.

The Time-of-Use rate will appeal to the member with high usage and the consumers who are willing to change their lifestyle to use much of their electricity at off-peak times. This choice is not for everybody but, it will save for everyone by shifting some of the electrical load to a time when fewer people are using large amounts of electricity. Members on the special rate pay less for power they use during off-peak hours.

Time-of-Use Rates

The Time-of-Use rates are a combination of two rates based on the time of day power is used. During the on-peak hours your rate is $.0918 for each kWh used. During off-peak hour you will pay only $.0430 per kWh used. You save $.0488 on each kWh used during off-peak hours. The customer service charge on the Time-of-Use rate is $25.25 per month versus $18.30 per month under the regular rates.

Your Time-of-Use Billing

When you receive your Time-of-Use bill it will contain a statement of your savings for the month due to the Time-of-Use rate. This figure includes the increased customer service charge with the Time-of-Use rate. As long as this is a positive figure this rate is right for you. If the figure is a negative amount, a simple phone call to us will remove the special meter the next time we read your meter and you will return to the regular rate.

If you would like to sign up for Time-of-Use rates please call us or stop by one of the offices.
